"Beautifully Tragic"

Remember me telling you about getting Wicked tickets back in November? Well, last night I traveled to Cincinnati to hook up with Frannie and her friends to see the show. It was fantastic!

We started out the night meeting up with the rest of the group at Rock Bottom. It was a nice place with great food. I dare say it was the best chicken dish (Basil Asiago Chicken) I have ever had! We finished our meals and quickly headed to the theatre to find our seats.

From the beginning when the curtain came up until the finale I was hanging on every word. I enjoyed every second of it! Like I said in the beginning it was fantastic! I would recommend it to all of you. If you are ever able to go see it, you should! It doesn't even matter if you read the book. I definitely want to see it again someday.

Aaron Update: He is doing great after having his wisdom teeth taken out. He is still in a little pain but we are keeping the drugs in him. He is a trooper that is for sure!

Where does the wisdom go?

Aaron got his wisdom teeth taken out this morning. And anyone who has had a tooth pulled knows how much that hurts! Well so far so good. It only took about an hour for the whole procedure. When he came out he was a little loopy and swollen but it wasn't too bad. He is home now and resting comfortably. I am taking care of him and Boone is guarding him from evil.

Off to the bat cave...

Aaron and I thought we would take advantage of the four day weekend and be adventurous. We went back to Cave City, KY to visit the Mammoth Cave National Park. They say this is the world's longest cave system, with over 365 miles of explored cave. It is also written that "it is so long that if the second and third longest caves in the world were joined together, Mammoth Cave would still be the planet's longest cave and have nearly 100 miles left over!"

We chose to go on the Mammoth Passage Way tour. While on the tour Park Ranger Neff filled us in on a bunch of interesting and not so interesting facts about the cave. He kept saying "ironical" and it was driving us nuts!

There are bats in the cave but we didn't see any. Thank goodness!

After the cave tour Aaron and I went for a walk on some of the trails. We didn't find quite what we were looking for with our map but it was a nice walk just the same.

We had a really fun day and in the end it was worth the trip. Say a prayer for Aaron tomorrow! He is getting his wisdom teeth out and we all know how not fun that will be for him. I will let you know how it goes!

Accidents, Paradise and Snow...

I hope everyone had a good weekend! Aaron and I had fun Saturday but Friday didn't turn out so good. Let me explain...Aaron and I go out to eat to one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. The food was good but the drunk, obnoxious, older women put a damper on the experience. We eat our meal as quickly as possible just to get out of there.

We are driving on our way home when BAM we are hit from behind. Now, it is bad enough to get into an accident but remember the new trailblazer I was telling you about in an earlier post? We driving that when we were hit! We must have set some kind of record. We only had that thing 10 days before we were in an accident.

Aaron and I are fine (just sore necks) and the trailblazer doesn't look like there is much damage to it at all. I can't say that for the girl's car. It was pretty messed up in the front. I think us being up higher really helped us but hurt her. But what can you do right? Hopefully, the trailblazer is not cursed from here on out.

Saturday Aaron and I decided to carry out the plans we already made a few days before the accident. We went down to Louisville to Lynn's Paradise Cafe. We had seen the restaurant featured on Bobby Flay's Throwdown on the Food Network and thought it looked like a fun place to try.

It was a very 'interesting' place! The had the most crazy things hanging on the walls. There were mannequin legs, trees growing from the floor, crazy flea market lamps, etc... One of my favorites was a hanging fixture made of used tea bags. There must have been hundreds. And of course the food was really good!

Horray for heated seats!

Yesterday, Aaron and I brought home a new vehicle. It is actually a used one but it is new to us! After careful consideration and many hours looking we decided on a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer.


Two of my favorite things about it : 1. It has heated seats! 2. It is 4WD. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to find a 4WD vehicle down here. I guess they never have to worry because they hardly get any snow. But it sure will come in handy in Maine next winter.

Aaron and I really like it. I am not sure how Boone will feel. We are going to find a gate that keeps him all the way in the back. Poor guy! But he doesn't have to clean up all that hair!

My love...

January 1st marked our three year anniversary. I am so excited that Aaron and I were able to spend it together this year. Marrying him was the best thing I have ever done!
