Nickie told me Boone wasn't well but I didn't realize the worst had happened. I feel your pain with all my heart, I've been there and it sucks. No other word for it.
He was a huge part of our family. And we really feel his absence. He had only appeared sick for about a month. He had a large 13cm mass (cancer) pushing against his heart. He hadn't eaten in over a week and it was really hard to breathe. he wasn't moving around much either. We had to put him to sleep. It was awful. My mind understands but my heart doesn't. At least he isn't in anymore pain.
I am so sorry Jackie! Our first dog was a like a child to us. When we had to put him to sleep I was a complete mental case for 2 weeks. Sean and I still miss him terribly. We buried Stinky in the back yard and ordered him a head stone with his picture engraved and some nice words in memory of him. For the first year we would light a candle at his grave and tell him we love him every night. We don't do the candle thing now, but we do speak of him at least once a week :)

Hoping great memories will get you through...
Love you.
Oh no! I am so sorry. Our pets become such a part of our family it's hard to let them go - if they could only live their age in dog years ...

Ugh! That comment was from me. I forgot to log out of my other e-mail.
Oh Jackie! I'm so sorry. I had no idea. I've never lost a pet, but I know how much he meant to you and Aaron. If you need anything at all...
Jackie,
I linked to your blog from Karen's. I am so sorry to hear of your family's loss.
We have a yellow lab, Barley, that is our baby and I cannot imagine the pain you are going through right now.
I am thinking of you and your husband at this difficult time.

I am so very sorry. What great pictures you have to show Kinley of her brother and first puppy.
