This morning I thought Boone was being his normal crazy self running around the house shaking things up. It wasn't until I noticed the windows and desk shaking that I knew it couldn't have been him. I survived my first Alaska earthquake! OK, so it wasn't really a big deal. It was only a 5.4 on the scale but it was enough to knock one thing off our bookshelf.

This may sound weird but it was a neat experience. It was cool to feel the earth rumble. Although, I do hope that is as bad as it gets.

As soon as I saw the news of an earthquake in Alaska, I thought of you. I could just feel for you as I read the news that Aaron had left again. You are such a strong person and I know you will get through this period, even though it will be hard. It's wonderful seeing Alaska through your eyes. Thank you so much for inviting Dale and I to Alaska, and if we do get a chance to ever do that, we will definitely look you up. Dale's dream is to visit Alaska. He loves Colorado though and goes hunting there every year. Take care Jackie and God Bless! Carol Hoffman
That would be a neat experience, as long as the earth doesn't swallow you up or destroy any buildings. But, now that you've experienced one - I hope that's it!!
