Tote #2

I finished my second tote! I must say it wasn't much easier the second time around, although I did try a few new things just to torture myself. :o)

I added extra fabric on the bottom this time to add some more color. Also because I knew that white in fabric tries to cling to everything around it. And the bottom would definitely get the most dirt. (I just noticed I didn't fully push the fabric to the bottom, causing the right bottom to look uneven in the picture. I assure it doesn't look that bad in person.)

I attempted a pocket this time. It was actually a pretty easy addition! I have decided that all my future tote creations will have pockets. Because seriously, who doesn't love pockets?!

OMG! I love it!!! I'm going to have to send you some fabric to make me one. :) hmm.... could the pattern be made smaller for a kid? Megan would friggin' LOVE something like that!

What a cute tote! Good job ... if it makes you feel any better, I've been sewing for some time and I always manage to find new ways to make things harder ... especially those things that I've made over and over! The fun never stops ;-)

That is awesome! The color band at the bottom was a great idea!

Sure! I can make a little one for Megan. That would be easy! Send me whatever fabric you want. Make sure you get 1/2 yd. of the fabrics. :o) And if you want just one fabric color that is fine too. Then I would need a whole yard of one color!

Jack - do you know the weight of the fusible interfacing? I got 4 fabrics (for 2 bags!) at Joanne's fun sale yesterday... I think I got 911F Pellon, but the old lady wasn't so excited about explaining the directions "see, you just read right here, it'll say." Ummm, I'm thinking NO. I just felt it and hoped for a medium weight... Let me know! Thanks man. :)
