What is happening to me?

I must say what I am about to tell you scares me a little. I mean...what is happening to me? Am I losing my mind? Is the crazy me taking over? I received a gift from my mother-in-law (Stephanie) and I love it! I never thought I could get so excited about DISHES!! Yep, you heard right, dishes! I had purchased new cannisters from a Pflatzgraff store in Syracuse about a year ago. I was wanting to transition my kitchen from green to blue and they were a great start.

She recently surprised me with a set of eight (Rio pattern) dinner plates, salad plates, bowls and mugs. And as I mentioned earlier, I love them. I am not the kind of person to have everything matchy matchy but I do love having the blue accents to go with the rest of my kitchen.

I also wanted to share with you my favorite part: the inside of the bowls. I really think it is neat that they are all blue inside. Why am I so excited about this? I have no idea. What has happened to me that I get so excited about something so domestic? All I have to say is that I really enjoy being a wife! I love decorating the house to make it home and that includes making meals special with fun dishes.

Now, I can't be the only crazy one. Is there anything in your home that makes you happy just looking at it? (Besides people or pets) Feel free to post it under comments.

Well, new dishes ARE fun!

Also, I was thinking... I even talked it over with Erik. We decided that people must taste the same things for the most part. Everyone knows sugar is sweet and lemons are tart, right?
